Site Description
This 1066 acre unit, located in Tehama County, is owned by USFWS. The property has 251 acres of walnut orchard, and 226 fallow acres. The remaining acres consist of riparian habitat, with 193 restored riparian acres and 396 existing riparian acres.
Vegetation Wildlife
The existing riparian habitat consists mostly of cottonwood and mixed riparian forests, riparian scrub, herbland cover, and gravel bar. Special wildlife use includes nesting osprey, bank swallow colonies, and bald eagle roosts.
