This site is located at river mile 165-L, approximately five miles south of Butte City of Highways 162 and 45.
Site Description
This 168 unit, located in Glenn County, is owned by USFWS. The property consists of 91 acres of existing riparian habitat, 70 acres of fallow orchard and 7 acres of walnut orchard.
Vegetation Wildlife
The riparian habitat is made up of mixed riparian forest, gravel bar, herbland cover, valley freshwater marsh and open water.
Current Land Use
The 77 acres of current and follow orchard are being evaluated for restoration and waiting for funding. This area, in addition to 40 acres of riparian habitat, is anticipated to open to public use in 2008/2009.
