Ten miles south of the town of Dunsmuir off of Interstate 5.
Site Description
Good river access for fishing and swimming. The site has a gravel parking lot near the tracks. Take caution while crossing the tracks to get to the river. It is possible for this site to get snow during the winter months. The river can be accessed for fishing but use caution when dealing with icy conditions.
Vegetation Wildlife
Mixed conifer forest with some alder trees and willow shrubs. Rainbow trout are the predominant species of fish but there are some brown trout as well.
Access Description
Northbound: Take Sweetbrier Exit. Turn right immediately after stop sign onto a dirt road. The road will fork, take the left fork to the bottom of the hill. There will be parking. Must cross tracks to get to the river. Southbound: Take sweetbrier exit. Turn left at stop sign and then a right after northbound exit, onto dirt road. Follow northbound directions.
