Location Description
This facility is located on the northeast side of Butte City at approximately River Mile 169 - L.
Site Description
The boat ramp is open and has been continuously for the past couple of years. There used to be a peninsula or sand bar that caused the silt to backup into the boat ramp’s channel. It washed through about two years ago and the build up of silt is no longer an issue.
Topology Hydrology
The park site is constructed on the river side of the levee and the site’s banks are steep.
Vegetation Wildlife
A narrow strip of woody riparian vegetation on the banks border the parking lot and boat ramp.
Current Land Use
Allowable uses at the site include picnicking, boat launching, and fishing.
Adjacent Land Use
The area north of this site is dominated by dense mixed riparian forest between the river and the levee. The area to the east is mostly farmland and the small town of Butte City is immediately to the east.
Access Description
This county owned facility is easily accessed from Butte City. Fee is $3.00 per launch or an annual permit fee of $30.00 per year (Jan. – Dec.).
