Location Description
Scotty’s is located at the confluence of Pine Creek and the river at approximately River Mile 196 - L. This site is located on the Pine Creek Landing Unit of Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park (approximately 7 miles west of Chico).
Topology Hydrology
Similar to the Pine Creek Landing at Bidwell-Sacramento River State Park, this flat site has gravel banks.
Vegetation Wildlife
Other than a few mature cottonwoods that provide minimal shade, there is only sparse vegetation along the bank. The area is dominated by weedy species.
Current Land Use
Allowable uses at the park include boat docking, dining, RV camping, and fishing.
Adjacent Land Use
With the exception of farmland immediately to the south and across the road to the east, the remainder of land surrounding Scotty’s is in public ownership for preservation and conservation. Immediately across Pine Creek are the Pine Creek units of both the Sacramento River National Wildlife Refuge and the Sacramento River Wildlife Area. Immediately to the south is a mobile home park, which is owned and managed by Scotty’s.
Access Description
This facility is on River Road and is easily accessed from the river as well.
