Site Description
Foster Island is owned and managed by the BLM. This property is expected to be transferred to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service following the completion of the Comprehensive Conservation Plan. Public access is expected to be a condition of the transfer.

This island is often submerged in winter and spring.

This island is characterized by dense mixed riparian forest, making access beyond its gravel banks extremely difficult.
